Australia is experiencing two energy crises: International high prices due to supply issues, and local deterioration of infrastructure that isn’t being replaced because of… climate change. Its a false dichotomy, and we can’t afford for it to continue.
Unfortunately, a common trait among journalists, politicians and actually, lets face it, most of the population, is that they’re not very good at math. An unfortunate side-effect of this is that we make very poor arguments from data.

I don’t want to suggest that they are unconstitutional, or unethical, or any highfaluting notions of liberty, equality, fraternity or whatever other “ity” floats your boat today… on the merits they just don’t make sense.
If you are going to win an argument through darkening, rather than enlightening, the darkness must descend until its blanket has covered and throttled entirely every source of light.
